This, anime digital art looks almost always the same even when it's done by a few other people, the sakimimi clones and generic moe trash killed it, there are still people like Zhang Bin who are reconizable bit the real credit goes to people like Yoshitaka Amano, Yuko Tatsushima and Jun Suemi, most weebs today don't even know who they are either sadly. The artists you mentioned are more western infuinced anon, weebs only know the ones behind jojos now, Junji Ito has clones too but they aren't as popular as the moe blob or sakimimi over rendering clones or as many exsiting at that, the most popular person infulinced by Ito is Hajime Isayama ( Attack on Titan ) and it's mostly enjoyed by normalfags since becoming mainstream.

Not really.
Realism isn't why anime is interesting, realism is important to anime because it gives us a base of reference, and anime being close to realism helps us interpret it better. But anime by itself is appealing because its not realism and takes liberties with its stylization.

Anime utilizes realism, but the realistic aspects by itself are not the appeal, otherwise people would just want realistically drawn images as opposed to anime girls.
