Good podcasts of videos to listen to while working? I obviously can't draw at the same time as I work, but I mostly can pay attention to something I'm listening to since my job is pretty braindead.

>> No.3988301

what about paying attention to your work instead?

It's repetitive and easy, I don't have to be paying attention all the time.

My personal favorite is scary "true" stories on Youtube from guys like Mr. Nightmare, Lazy Masquerade, Let's Read and Corpse Husband

The quiet and slow ambient background music along with the slow narration really helps me focus, I love it.

Definitly Common Filth Radio. It's good shit, start on the most recent episode and work your way backwards.

well, if its the beginning stages for a piece, i like to focus and plan everything out in silence or ambient rainfall at the most. but during rendering stints, I will listen to;

Podcasts;
Sleepycabin or Supermegacast if I'm feeling like having a couple giggles

Bobby chiu or draftsman if I feel like taking in more art content

Stuff you should know for somewhat educational content about a variety of things

Tim Ferriss, Bulletproof radio or The School of Greatness if I actually feel like going through the effort to better myself

Youtube;
Video essays are alright, I find gaming stuff distracts too much though. Art content is obviously superior, but listing art youtubers is like opening Pandora's box, and I don't want to nuke the thread

but my favorites are audiobooks. while painting or drawing I will only listen to self-help or nonfiction audiobooks that can purpose interesting ideas without using up my visual processing anything Robert Green is fantastic, and the laws of human nature should be recommended reading for just about every single person on the planet. While cleaning, traveling or being out and about, I picked up the complete works of Sherlock Holmes narrated by Stephen Fry. It's a ton of fun to listen to. If you use a credit to get it, you can get it for 18$ instead of $115 so thats pretty good

If you read all this and have similar tastes, feel free to drop something you'd think I would like. I always love exploring new content

Based. I've been started sketching while I listen to the episodes of TDS. I love podcasts but i feel like I have to be doing something while listening to them. Just putting something on and sitting on the couch and listening doesn't really jive with me
