it is important to me but i suck at it, personally i like many different types of lineart, but i consider good lineart to be smooth without scratchy lines, and if they can use the line thickness effectively thats a plus too

I really like line art and think it's quite important. For the record, I think that OP pic isn't bad line art, it's just kinda lazy. It looks quite good in the thumbnail, describes form well and doesn't get in the way of what it's trying to convey. Seems like the kinda thing that was crapped out in an hour by an artist that can do a lot better.

I go back and forth with line art. I sketch with literally a 1 pixel brush, but by the time I'm done I may push the line art to be pretty thick. I kind of love and hate it at the same time. Most of my favorite artists actually have pretty bold line art, so guess I'm just gonna go with it for now.
