It's very cute. I think the only thing I might comment on as far as critique goes is her cheek seems too isolated, like I think you'd still see the far side of her face going up; and her abs are a little too well defined. I think making them more "open" by fading away some of the lines on the sides could make them look better, if that makes sense. I can't into words right now.
I really like her expression, and her little tooth, and how clean it all looks. Maybe someone else can come along and give you more professional advice.

How the fuck do I build a nice audience?
I really do not want anything to do with twitter trannies. and leftoids in general.
I like drawing anthro but furry fandom is so trash and toxic i just want to stay away as far as I can.
I am not a furry myself, but before when I was in need of money, I took some commisions and my slots would always be overfilled, had to calm down people.

Most people were okay, but some are your typical twitter tranny and since personal things that happened last year to me I cant stand far left anymore. And that seems to be bigger part of the furry fandom, or atleast the more vocal one.

I see your lines are very messy, like you had trouble controlling your hand, but that should go away with time, mostly muscle thing.
Try to be more confident with your hand movements.
If you re working with pencils only its ok, just use diffrent hardness ones to build some value range easily.
If you don't have a graphic tablet you may consider getting one, digital is fastest way to learn the more technical stuff like color theory


Keep postings, /beg/s improve fast so in just few weeks there should be visible diffrence.

I think they get scratchy because I don't have any "construction" skills, the way I draw is I start with the eyes or the beak and then I "mold" everything around it mostly from memory, because I get so anxious trying to copy references perfectly. But this is why I can't draw bodies or anything in 3d right now.

Thanks, yeah I don't really know how to do construction. Like, I think I understand the concept from reading a little bit of Loomis, but I don't know how to actually *do* it in context of actually drawing the things I want to draw. Loomis kind of focused on drawing 2D heads with really light shapes then going over it darker.

But beyond cartoon heads, I don't know how to conceptualize what I am trying to draw into basic shapes, how do I learn this? Every time I try to draw body or the arms as like a box or whatever it never comes out right, and I don't know how to connect boxes to other boxes.

I know construction isn't just boxes but I don't really know what construction totally means besides 3d shapes.

I know construction doesn't just mean "Draw what you want to draw lightly first then draw the rest in later" because every time I try that I am just drawing what I would normally draw but just lighter so I can erase in case of a mistake.

Yeah I dont know, the whole concept really confuses me and I don't know where to actually learn construction that's tailored for pure beginners.

Anyways heres something I drew today, it sucks pretty hard but I tried really hard on it.

The "boxes" are mostly for keeping you aware of how the parts are oriented in 3D space. It's like when you draw a naked body before drawing the clothes over it, so you don't do something stupid like a fold of cloth that implies there isn't an arm underneath. Same idea, except you're carving detail into basic blocks of clay.

In short, even though you're working with a 2D medium, you've gotta think in 3D.

That's the hardest part I think right now, my stupid idiot brain can't think in 3d. Or maybe I can "think" in 3d, but I definitely can't draw in 3d. Well, that's what construction is meant to solve. It's why we work in simple shapes instead of complex ones: because it's easier to arrange, say, a group of blocks. Right now it sounds like you're having trouble identifying those shapes, so the best exercise would probably be to try breaking down existing images into those simpler forms.

Ears don't wrap around the back of the head like this, they go down around the sides and mostly face forward, at least at the base - maybe it's not always as straight a line as I've drawn it, but it's the basic direction you should be thinking about. Look at real-life pictures of cats to see how it works.

Your shadows are a bit dry, being that a lot of them are just black+saturation. Consider pushing them toward whatever temperature you decide on for your background -- or just experiment with it, which I find fun and satisfying, personally. As long as it's not black.
