I am just overly tough on myself when it comes to improving. And no matter how much time I put into practice mode working with combos, it never amounts to much once I play online.

Er, not really. People who at least seem vastly better than me I kinda limit the number of matches I play against them. Working on trying to find my main would work much better fighting someone at least around my level I think, and then taking it from there.
