this shows a way to do it without opening the case. Sensors 1 and 3 are easier to do if you take the lid off. Theres 6 screws or so on the bottom, then the whole top plastic piece can be popped off. Its not too difficult.

Yes the torrent works, at least it did for me last night. But to get the game to run in pcsx2 at full speed youre gonna need a core2 around 3.2-3.5 ghz

The only mod you need to make is to disable the sensors that detect the lid being opened(for slim ps2) For the fat ps2 you can just pry the tray open without pressing the button to swap discs.
