They probably thought they had to transfer at least a couple members from HKT. It is supposed to be some "big shuffle" after all where all groups are present. So they chose two members who were old enough, not very popular, and considering HKT has lots of variety members they probably thought it wouldn't be much of a loss.

It feels completely unnecessary to me, and I'm still really upset about losing Chiyori. It's not like they needed the empty slots provided by Chiyori and Tani. They didn't transfer anyone from any other team into HKT. They could've simply kept Chiyori and Tani on Team H and KIV, and just not promote those two 3rd gen girls. They literally only just debuted, and there is really no reason or need to promote them. This way they could've also still had the promotions for Maikomu and Kusaba, and also still had the kennin member and draftee member.

I wish Chiyori would appeal the transfer, but she won't. I know she thinks otherwise, but I really don't think this will be a plus for her. Now she is competing with the entire 48 group to get a senbatsu spot, while before she was just competing in HKT. It's not like her popularity will increase just because she is on an AKB team. There are plenty of AKB team girls who are unpopular and don't rank in elections. She might have benefited from a kennin position, because that way she will still be in HKT, on HKT shows, in HKT singles, but also gets to appear in AKB stage performances, shows and still a chance at AKB singles. Big mistake for her in my opinion.

I figured he was, because why would you save up for 3 years, and not even know exactly when you are going? That would tell me that he doesn't actually have any handshake tickets or anything lined up, and thus doesn't even have a guaranteed way of seeing the girl he is supposedly saving up to see.
