I still want to put all the style entries in a css file so it'll be easier to implement new website styles. Most of the website is still from the default website that came with SAM and it's full of style entries everywhere.

Long story short, the motherboard died and I didn't have any money. I tried to fix it with spare parts, but I wasn't able to build a new server with them. I asked a few friends and fans (thanks eurofag for your hard work) if they had spare parts, but I couldn't get anything to work.

Now, I found a friend who had a computer, but not the space while I had the opposite. We made a deal. I could use it for the radio and he could use it for...other server thingies. It's a good friend of mine so I expect it to run for quite a while. Meanwhile, I'm going to continue looking for my own computer.

As was stated, /jp/ related music is preferred. However, I decided to let people free in uploading whatever the hell they want. There's a skip function so if people don't like it, they can vote it. If there's a good song, it will be requested more often. When my HD gets full, I purge the least requested songs (this only happened once)

Beside that, I added a report function. If someone reports a troll song, we can remove it with a click of a button (after we moderate it)

We don't moderate that much though. The stream has been running for 1.5 years now and the amount of trolling has been, in my opinion, minimal. If not, there's the skip function.

I haven't tested the skip function. Thanks for doing that. Glad it still works.

Btw, I can't remember the streaming settings I used back then. I need to experiment with the quality again to balance out my bandwidth and quality. If the stream starts lagging, this might be the reason.

There's currently one working relay.

Other then that, the new stream has new hardware so it should be much stable.

So I just wanted to let you know that I'm still working on this. For those of you who are unaware of what happend: the motherboard went poof. Recenlty, I got my hands on a new computer and I'm planning to use that motherboard for BOX. However, BOX is still running on 4 IDE HDs and the motherboard only has room for one cable. Besides that, I need to test if the old PSU can work with the new motherboard (need to check if it has the 4 pin processor thing). If the PSU is ok, I just have to buy and fit an external IDE card thing (I think there are PCI cards for that).

The HDs are still intact so nothing is lost. I'll be testing the PSU this week. I'm not giving an ETA on when /jp/radio is gonna be up again, but know that I'm still working on it. Thank you for your patience.

Yeah shoutcast is a good start if you're just streaming music and/or your voice. For requesting/uploading music, there's a plugin for it but it has hardly any support. Google songrequester and winamp. You should be able to find it.

If you're into serious streaming, get SAM broadcaster. It's a great program.
