Pretty tasty, but Ramen are still superior.

The best thing is to eat ramen one day and udon the next.

Of course it's going to be awkward at first, but you just have to screw stuff like "it's embarassing" and just do it. Who cares if it sounds bad, you're there to learn, aren't you? It took me 4 months to finally be able to have a decent conversation, but after that I felt like I really archieved something. As long as you're interested in actually learning the language and don't see it as some sort of pain it will eventually go well.

Okay, so far for the general bullshit, now for some actual advice: Learn your grammar faggot! It's important. You will eventually pick up the words but the grammer is just 100% different from English. Get yourself some books / play my Japanese coach / whatever.
Also if you have some time to kill, watch the same anime episode once subbed and once raw, ideally add once raw before subbed. It's a nice way to remember some shit.

Well if you're in Japan then you're going to get better fast. Been there, done that.

I was in Japan for 9 months on a working holiday visa working diffrent jobs, though looking for work is a pain in the ass. It was fun while it lasted, but damn am I glad to be back. I guess living in Japan is not for me, though I'l come back for a visit next summer.

I'm not a good or fast swimmer, but at least I can do it somehow.

We used to have swimming class at school, it sucked.

I'm not currently in Japan, but seriously.... if you speak the language making friends is not any harder than in any other country.

If you have no job and live by yourself you're not going to make any friends in America either.

Trust me, I've been in Japan and I've had friends who I still occasionally mail with.

I like to think that Akagi would win, simply because he is the least likely to. That's just how he rolls.

But then again, Akagi has lost against plot devices before. See his game against Ten, or the thing with the six hakus.

I don't think it's that bad, it's just the Harry Potter syndrom.

Anyone that read the book is bound to hate the movie.

Though yeah, I woul dhave liked for the Lia x Beato fight to be a bit... longer.

So I was just playing Umineko and there was the scene where Natsuhi recieves a phonecall and I was trying to click ahead fast because the sound of the reciever was getting on my nerves. Then suddenly my sister barges into the room and shouting at me in a loud voice. I take of my headphones and notice that it was actually the real phone that was rining. Damn was I surprised.

What this has to do with this thread? About as much as this thread has with /jp/.

That reminds me of the first time I went into a Soba shop and was really shocked at the sound of slurping being heard from everywhere. I ordered a bowl of Udon and they brought it me as well a fork and a spoon...

There's dozens of nazi slaughtering movies dubbed German.

You need to move on.
Then again it's just a movie.

I've experienced lots of them being careful at first but suddenly becoming alot more friendly after hearing that I'm from Germany and that I speak Japanese.

Well, I guess Stereotypes always have some grain of truth in them.

You must be some kind of "searching fields for four leave clovers" geek. I used to search for them all of the time as a little boy and never found one. So I would take a three leave one and rip one of it's leaves in two and then pretend it was a four leave one.
