Basically, after I said I would make some Alices, I got slammed with every possible real-life problem in the book, and they were pretty much abandoned. I didn't have the time or the resources to make a whole bunch of dolls all at once then. That's why I make it a point not to collect any money from people beforehand.

So about how much could an AMERIKKAN expect to pay for these? 5250 yen, plus other fees for deputy+shipping and whatnot, so maybe 70-80 bucks (assuming you get them before they show up on ebay for a king's ransom)? I've never used a deputy service, so I don't know how they roll...

What's the deal with the whole "Komachi = Mexican" thing? Most Western Touhou memes are easy to pick up, but I must have missed the boat on this one (no pun intended).

I think it's the bear from Kuma Uta. It's an old Japan-only PS2 game where you can input words to a song and a bear will dance around and sing them. I guess you could call it the precursor to the Vocaloid.
