i don't know what episode it is, it's not that i watched these scenes side by side
i just noted a general lack of epic scenes in the remake, but i remember this scene in the remake being extremely awkward and forced: https://streamable.com/nen41
maybe someone can find it real quick

>> No.46596663 [View]

man, i'm slowly watching the logh remake but it's just so lame and soulless, i straight up can't believe what they did to it, i mean look at this
https://streamable.com/04t30t
the music, the tension, presentation, it just has so much style, soul and most importantly EPICNESS, it's actually a galactic battle

the remake? bland voice acting, soulless character designs (they look like boy band members) and just bad presentation, there is no sense of scale, it's like you're watching star wars or something at best, and there is not a single scene which matches the countless epic scenes in the original anime

i played ghost of tsushima fully in japanese, it was pretty nice
but idk if it was actually great or not, i enjoyed the power fantasy because that's my kind of thing but i think there is like 2 times when the protag just gets story knocked out and that shit makes me livid

the german dubbing industry is absolutely terrible, they basically have like 5 people that do all voices in everything and they do the exact same cringe voices which sounds absolutely retarded and doesn't fit anything, not to mention the translations suck on top of it, i'd rather shoot myself than have to watch a german dub of anything, so glad i can watch the original japanese dub and i pity the people reliant on translations

even germans themselves make fun of the weird ass voice actor voices:

the funniest thing is how she saw the post and didn't realize it was nonsense, literally falling for the original bait thinking it was easy because it looked like normal japanese, without being able to read it and going "haha this text is easy you should have been able to read it easily, you're dead to me now"

it's this double own that makes it really epic

let's be honest guys we all rated sousou no frieren 10/10 because we wanted to have sex with himmel, it's not even gay, he's just that good

yeah it counts all steps, it's not cards studied per se but total amount of reviews

>> No.46595363 [View]

if i look at my japanese mined card recently, they are all actually pretty easy words i knew previously too, but i felt a refresher would be good to feel more comfortable, i think it's really fine to mine words like that too

>>46595325
sure i can, it's something i actually trained for a while, started out with resistance bands to support my weight and everything and build up to it
i was able to do more at some point but my issue is that i'm not consistent enough with training
i basically have phases where i diet with a calorie deficit but high protein and fat + frequently work out (and succeed in losing weight while building muscle) and then when something goes on in my life or i feel too comfortable i stop the diet, stop working out and gain weight again
it's basically all or nothing for me, i need to start being consistent and keep working out even when i stop dieting, probably wouldn't gain any weight back then too

>bro youre literally fat
dunno how that's relevant to drinking water
and yeah i'm overweight but i don't look like a fucking slob, i'm strong and tend towards a strongman type build as i said before, all men in my family are wide
and i'll go on my 2000 cal diet again soon, got some other stuff i have to finish first but probably starting in may and i'll be down 10kg in 2 months, losing weight is easy

it's fine to mine it either way even if it was easy because the SRS works so easy cards get reviewed very infrequently, your review process just needs to be fast, if i mined an easy word it was probably reviewed less than 20 seconds total over it's lifetime

i've actually started buying glas bottles en masse, great for drinking at home but also taking along
but studies have mixed results, micro plastic is basically everywhere you can hardly avoid it

you should probably stop translating things to english and just feel them out in the context
if it was fairly neutral in the context, you can understand the statement to be fairly neutral, and as you gain more experience you'll come to understand it as such
there is no need to think about how things sound in english

>> No.46594837 [View]

>>46594761
>supposed to be dirty?
> "join in union"
no? idk what the exact context is but it literally talks about breeding/genetics, 種 being the "seed" just as you'd understand it in english

>>46594795
>the install was a lot more annoying than ubuntu i had to setup the firewall myself and map the laptop hotkeys to actually work
that's why i said use endeavourOS, if you're a beginner or too dumb for the install especially
and yeah if you fuck up installing arch you might very well have a system that breaks
endeavourOS gives you a fully functioning arch system with great defaults and yay preinstalled and you don't really have to worry about anything

>> No.46594788 [View]

>>46594779
huh funny because i enjoyed overlord a lot (with the exception of the lizard arc)

depends on two things, what you mean by that/what your goal is and how much time you have
you only have 1-2 hours a day? yeah, probably can't, you need more time
you want to sound exactly like a native? probably not happening
you want to be conventionally fluent and understand everything? yeah, you can definitely do it with the rights tools, methodology and dedication

>>46594691

the main appeal of opm besides the comedy was the power fantasy, in fact that's probably much more important in it's success
people enjoy power fantasies and the best moments were always when saitama was dominating someone and everyone was shocked, everyone loved that

>>46594709
it's not about needing or not needing arch
arch is easier to use and (ironically) more stable than ubuntu for personal systems, it's straight up better and also less confusing
ubuntu LTS is great for servers but on your home system running arch just makes more sense

>>46594742
>because you have to make sure you dont break it
???
classic statement from someone who has never used arch, it doesn't break. it just doesn't. it's a myth.
you can install anything you fucking want.

yeah you can have a very accurate model of how japanese sounds in your head, but lack the speaking practice to actually do it yourself
speaking yourself involves literally training the muscles required to make japanese sounds which literally depends on the hours spent talking in japanese, so if you don't do it, never spent much time talking to japanese people, you won't sound great, no way around it

>>46594666
honestly? just do it like the other poster said
backup your most important data and install linux on your main drive, it's important to NOT be able to just go back and force yourself to use linux and get used to it
if you want a more concrete recommendation: endeavourOS is essentially an easy arch install, it's great for both beginners and advanced users, use that with kde which is a very stable and inutitive, but modern and bleeding edge system
i also recommend this book which is great for learning command line and how linux works in general: https://linuxcommand.org/tlcl.php
then learn a few arch specific things like how to use the package manager and you're good, everything else you just look up as you go
it's actually much easier than you'd expect

nah japanese humor is just different and occasionally more formulaic, but yeah i'd say western comedy is much greater all in all however you can't take away that japanese people occasionally produce really funny shit, i definiteld lost it a few times at gintama but gintama is another one you have to know japanese for to get, the jokes don't translate

just because it's popular doesn't mean it's bad, in fact kny is pretty good for what it is
sorry you can't enjoy things if they are popular, that must suck because hey there is actually a tiny bit of a correlation between things being good and being popular believe it or not
