I feel like this roadmap overemphasizes paid resources, under-emphasizes free resources (Tae Kim, Imabi, Sakubi, Google itself, etc), and is generally so narrow in scope as to be not very useful, since one cannot learn Japanese through textbooks alone. This chart doesn't include any mention of vital supplementary resources such as Anki or dictionaries such as Jisho, JDIC, or even grammar dictionaries like the Dictionary of Japanese Grammar series.

Additionally, following a "roadmap" of textbooks is more likely to end with someone getting sick of Japanese, rather than successfully learning it. The goal of language learning should always be abandoning textbooks as soon as possible and getting into consuming native material. A successful learn will likely be abandoning textbooks at around the N3 level (which is coincidentally about where Tae Kim leaves off) to instead focus on consuming comprehensible input while referencing dictionaries, Google, and so on upon encountering language they don't know. The most surefire way to end a language learning journey in failure is to buy a boatload of textbooks and then try to stick with them until you know the language. It's important to remember that textbooks don't teach you the language, they build a foundation for you to jump off of into real native material. Someone trying to learn all the way to N1 level Japanese through a roadmap such as this will find learning Japanese a slow and unenjoyable process.
