Back when I was 20 I was unofficially dating this 11 year old girl. I was a friend of the family and I use to go out and babysit her for like 4 years beforehand. It was a very swishy time, I got drunk and had sex a few times with the 28yo (I dont remember) or so single mom and then I started a relationship with her daughter.

Tldr: Ran (if she is more than just a computer) would be jealous of anyone spending time with Chen because Chen can be looked at as a pale inferior extension of her. Chen, a young child, would not yet try to regain sexual attention of a guy over her (mother).
