I know we like to speak of shoggoths as if they are eldritch gods, but you guys do know that they were a servant race of little intelligence even in the original mythos?

And in the MGE their creators are not nigh-all-powerful gods but "merely" a very powerful and special subset of monsters. MGE shoggoths are intelligent and powerful certainly, but we have no evidence they even rank as high tier monsters.
