At least this time this was expected, just as much as her resting without streams until the weekend. Knowing how frustrated she was with her situation she probably fought hard to be allowed to check out on time and continues to recover at home. I don't think there was a need to hide it though. Maybe in her head it means less questions from heimin, easier to manage the situation. I don't feel good about it. Kanata's trust reps were all for nothing.

It doesn't benefit anyone in the end. At best it's misleading, but if it's gonna come down to more serious situations it can be disrespectful. She of all people knows her fans want the best for her, hiding from them "for their own good" when they would gladly accept her explanations and wait for her patiently is mistreating them. Good cult leaders don't do that.

I never felt bad for missing these to be honest. Regular streams take priority for me. And even then I still watch a lot of them in archives days or even weeks after they happen if I happen to miss them. The "live" element of it is not the most important one for me personally as long as I get to see it one way or the other. I've been a member for a month already and I still haven't watched all the member-only streams for example. Backlogs are kinda hard to get through these days, lots of great streams after Nintendo permissions.
