I love Rika.
Not in a sexual manner, of course. I simply love her as a person.
Rika represents everything that I love about myself as well, making her a character I can easily relate to.
She can be fun at times and act cutesy around her friends, but ultimately she doesn't care about them too much and wouldn't mind abandoning them when the situation calls for it and she sees the possibility of a better future for herself without her former friends around.
Despite being outwardly optimistic and lightheaded, in truth Rika is a deeply pessimistic, emotionally scarred human who can't help herself to make snide, sarcastic remarks when things go awry. She simply doesn't care about people including herself.
Having lived through similar circumstances as her in my youth (I abandoned my friends for more popular ones in high school and made fun of them afterwards), I can relate to her on a very deep scale and sometimes get the feeling that I might just *be* Rika inside of my heart.
