Most of the village that "hated" the Hojos probably died of old age or left. The original curse is around 40 years old anyway, I doubt anyone would care about Satoko/Satoshi even if there wasn't a "clear the air" moment about the Hojos in the years following 1983.
I kinda wonder if the village is annoyed about Rika, she left and is single meaning the Furude bloodline is all but dead, the customs of the festival etc. had to change, and the village is struggling more than ever.
