No it isn't, you barely ever see the bottom half of live2Ds, and you can only see them from the front, it ends up basically being 1/4 of what it could have been.
Pic related, Marine's inexplicably 3D looking "live2D" swimsuit design that definitely wasn't going to be 3D until the pandemic hit, absolutely not.

I honestly don't understand why they didn't keep making them, even if Yagoo was ridiculously paranoid about Youtube being pissy over it, the models are worth having even just to put on merch. It's such a waste. Look at Marine's model sheet for her live2D swimsuit and tell me it wasn't originally intended to be 3D. It's such a waste

I mean gen3 still got swimsuit designs from their mamas/papas posted on twitter around the same time in summer 2020, meaning they had clearly been briefed to design them at some point before it was abandoned. The model sheet posted for Marine's swimsuit live2D showed it was almost certainly intended to be 3D. And once their mamas/papas posted them they were basically taken by the fans as gospel. Same thing happened with Lamy. It's seems less likely Cover are asking them to do it now but I don't know why, they could still use the designs in merch or something. If they all had swimsuits in a live show that would be amazing, and would make a ton of sense considering a) it doesn't go on Youtube and b) people are paying for the privilege of seeing it.

So anyway just hope for them to post pseudo-official designs on Twitter. Hopefully...
When Iroha started pleading for Hololive Summer to come back the other day she said she would want a competition swimsuit...

I honestly see Marine actually getting her swimsuit—albeit somewhat covered up—as a live2D to be basically a confirmation that it'll never happen, like how trophy assists and Wii costumes shoot down the possibility of hotly anticipated Smash Bros. characters actually joining the game.
