It's been all across 4chan. People have stopped using memes that have long been staples of this website. It's almost seen in a negative light now. I don't know if that's because of the invasion of newfags circa 2016 not understanding 4chan or if it because of oldfags thinking anyone who posts an old meme is just a newfag trying to compensate. I'm pretty sure I've seen a little bit of both. I've noticed legitimately epic posts with tons of replies get called gay because people replied to it with reaction images and gave it a lot of (you)s and I guess that's considered a newfag thing now... Oldfags claim they are trying to replicate a classic "epic 4chan moment". I guess they succeeded in discouraging that kind of behavior because now, we actually don't ever get epic 4chan moments anymore because people are afraid to have fun on this website now. Jaded motherfuckers.
