Despite her more universal appreciation these days, when Moona started she used to be a lot more of a controversial figure for a few reasons.

The MS Paint incident was her crudely drawing over her Live2D with a shirt in MS Paint to cover up the exposed parts of her skin because Islam lol.
She also called her viewers moonafiqs, a play on the word munafiq, which is an insult in Arabic meaning "outward Muslims who are inwardly concealing disbelief and actively seek to undermine the Muslim community."
She also went on a crusade against lewd art on Twitter and, combined with the other two things, had a lot of people in these threads thinking that she was some extreme Islamic fundamentalist who would crash and burn HoloID. Funny how that turned out.

Of course, over time it became clear she was just autistic, and after Ramadan she loosened up significantly (no more MS Paint and she even posted alcohol on Twitter), but there was a period where she was probably the most hated Holo in the threads.
