>Yes, samurai were more skilled. But they were skilled to skill other warriors in their culture. (other samurai, ninjas, etc. etc.) A knight would kick a samurai's ass.
lol no

>LIGHT JAPANESE ARMOUR
japanese knew how to make good armour, and rich samurai imported armour from europe. it was protective enough that anyone trying to cut them up with a sword had to adjust his tactics.

>WITH KATANA THAT DULL AFTER A FEW STRIKES
bullshit. katana were well made swords and those used in the civil wars weren't as sharp as their wallhanging/testcutting 19th century counterparts

>DULLER THICK SWORDS THAT YOU OFTEN BLUDGEON OTHERS TO DEATH WITH
complete bullshit. knightly longswords were just as sharp as their eastern counterparts, and they'd break as easily on contact with plate armour. a knight would grab the sword by it's blade and use its tip (some italian masters actually sharpened only the top part of the sword, or left an unsharpened part in the middle, others just made sure they wore a good pair of gauntlets) like a short spear to thrust for gaps in the armour.

the most secure tactic was to grapple the opponent to the ground and use a dagger. both, samurai as well as knights knew this.
