I hate to tell you this but America's position as a world superpower is fueled mostly by ego and not wanting China to be the main superpower. We have a much better economy compared to literal third world countries but it's literally only because of the american superpower corporations monopolizing half the world. And our military is overpowered because we literally funnel more money into keeping it at the top of the power rankings than we do on upkeeping our communities. We're geopolitically fucked in the sense that if we don't maintain our power the world falls into chaos as china overtakes us on the global scale, but in order to maintain our power we need to cannibalize ourselves
