Stop being overdramatic, this is nothing.

The gameplay thread will survive, I'm sure it'll get bustling back up whenever ZUN decides to surgically un-attach the drink from his hand

He's doing his regularly scheduled cleaning, it's the weekend so it's bound to devolve back into it whenever, y'know.

i'd be lying if i didn't think the 浮気 work spring shitfest wasn't funny but it certainly didn't do any wonders for thread quality

i think it'll go back to normal soon though

Hey m*d team, since I highly doubt the effectiveness of the email system at the moment due to the transition, and because I think it would be good to see /jp/'s opinion on this as a whole, I have a question in regards to something moot mentioned back in 2014 that I think would solve a lot of the problems /jp/ is currently facing in regards to overall user satisfaction.

Back in 2014, moot made mention of possibly adding a 2d/Random (Nijiura) board, and at the time, he said there would be no way that both /jp/ and a Nijiura board would be able exist at the same time. Since that time almost a year ago, a lot of things have obviously changed, both in /jp/ and to the site as a whole. I don't think anyone can deny that it would be an understatement that the board is much cleaner than it was in days gone by and that it is currently overrun with general threads.

That being said, with moot stepping down, the surge of shitposting that the recent leak has brought, and the with the general sense of discontent most long time users seem to have on /jp/ (made evident by the amount of split boards and deleted posts /jp/ alone has), I can think of no better time for the addition of a nijiura board to be brought into reconsideration, and for there to be a discussion about this.

I sat through all 8 hours just like many anons did, and in the Q&A, moot said that he liked constructive criticism instead of the usual hey j*nny you suck go kill yourself. He said that nothing good comes from the community splinting itself up across multiple chans because "fuck m*deration"; something that /jp/ is especially known for.

This thread is an attempt at acting on these wishes and getting the communities opinion on if the inclusion of a Nijiura board would in any way help resolve this long long feud between the users of /jp/ and the staff.
