If you had or saved up the money, you could probably commission one side for anywhere between 100-150 USD if you went looking for some artists on twitter. Then getting the stuffing would cost you anywhere between I believe 50-125 USD depending on how good of quality you wanted it. I got this custom daki commissioned myself for only 100 USD per side, then paid 85 USD for the stuffing.

I got it custom printed at a site that was specifically made for ordering custom dakimakuras.

“Well, in more human terms…”

You slowly and methodically bend a knee, then hold out a small, plain box cupped carefully in your hands. Okuu holds her breath as you deliberately lift the lid to expose a diamond-studded gold ring. However, for the gem in the center, there sits an oval-cut fire opal in the deepest red you could find.

“Woah, pretty!” she exclaims joyously. “It’s like the color of the Yatagarasu…”

“That’s because I want to give you your own sun, from me. Will you marry me, Okuu?”

She pauses, thinking hard for a second, before clasping her hands together with a smile.

“That’s human mate pairing, right? Of course I would, then!”

Fireworks sparkle and blast in your mind, and though you fumble a little, you soon slide the ring you had measured precisely onto its matching finger, where she proceeds to study the different angles she could make it gleam brightly while cheerfully fluttering her wings. Okuu then hugs you so tightly that you lift from the floor.

“It’s amazing, just like you! I’m going to treasure this forever!”

Though you’d gladly say the same, the air being squeezed tightly out of your lungs is causing you quite some difficulty. But your sentiments echo your wonderful girlfriend’s regardless: this is a day to remember.
