It's cool when artists explore interactions that would rarely/never happen in canon. I don't mean crack ship bullshit, just interesting scenarios from otherwise isolated characters coming together for more than just a party at the shrine.
Chen and Orin being friends in CDS and UDoALG was a nice surprise and something I never thought I'd see beyond fan art.

It's very minor, but ZUN drawing Orin with both sets of ears is strange to me. You'll typically never see other animal youkai's human ears with their hairstyles so she stands out.
