I'm not saying monogamy is impossible, indeed it's the norm for most types of monsters. However, the following from World Guide 1 does suggest there have been a fair number of cases of monsters forcing themselves into the marriages of others, given it outright says if a monster falls for a claimed man she will still ravish him.

>Among monsters, there is an implicit understanding that when a human man is already another monster's husband, he belongs to that monster, and they shouldn't assault him at random, so men who have become a monster's husband basically don't get assaulted by monsters. However, in the case that the monster really feels strongly about the man, or in the case of races that are fundamentally polygamous, that's not necessarily true.

>If a monster feels so strongly about a man that her instinct has recognized the man as her “husband”, and she's already begun to change into a female exclusively for him, then there's no way she’s going to be able to ignore her intense desire merely because of something like an implicit understanding. She'll give in to the urge, assault the man, and fuck him. After that, the monsters who share a “husband” will end up living together, cooperating at times to milk essence from the man, and at other times, fighting over who gets to have sex with him longer and more often.

>Who and what species of girl is the lucky winner who takes you away?

The first monster girl who wants him and doesn't have to touch him to catch him. There are a fair number with abilities like that.

In some ways the snake cult seem more like collections of extreme lamia enthusiasts rather than a actual religion. They just think lamias are so amazing that they must be gods or kin to gods, and therefore these humans goals in life become to either become a lamia or the husband of a lamia.

And of course the actual lamias by birth don't really care about this all that much, and likely play along just to get a man and free housing and adulation.

Some admittedly would have a hard time getting any size ring to stay on their tail.

Everyone talks about the medusa's eyes but with the MGE version I like to imagine them bashing through stone walls with that sledgehammer-like covering on their tail.
