If you read the legend of Perseus, Pegasus lept forth from the blood spewing from Medusa's neck.
Now, remind me; how does Rider summon Pegasus? (See pic)

Bellerophon is just the title of the Reigns which Medusa uses to control Pegasus, it's symbolic OF the man Bellerophon.
