What surprise me about the above is that it means that even keeping your daughter sheltered at home is far from a surefire way to have her fall for her father, and also that the father can have enough authority/influence over his monster girl daughter to restrain her husband-hunting instincts even to the point of making her a Christmas Cake (whatever age that is for a long-lived monster girl).

Not really, all KC said was that you shouldn't try to restrict your daughter/monopolize her attention. If you let her socialize with other boys chances are so she will never turn to incest (unless she is of a race that culturally does it a lot).

To quote KC when he was asked about if any monster girls fall in love with their fathers:

There are other ways to make them stronger early, like having a lot of sex with the mother while she is still pregnant, the use of mana potions, etc.

Incest obviously isn't all that important for power or popularity, since (outside of species that practice it culturally) its noted to be a rare thing.
