The thing is GouSotus Satoko (and Rika for that matter) simply don't feel like the same character's in my mind. I look at a Satoko with glowing red eyes and I think "oh, that's not the strong surrogate little sister character whose perseverance in the face of adversity I fell in love with. It's that shallow dyke who'd kill all her best friends if it meant getting in Rika's panties." And once I make that mental connection, the image just doesn't seem as appealing to me since it comes with a reminder that the character I enjoyed has been retconned into a cheap bastardization of her former self.
