Crystal Isles does look much much nicer. And since it is new, they're back in that point of exploration and building up from nothing, which is typically far more entertaining than all of the downtime prep and maintenance you get at endgame where only the final boss is a challenge.

I stumbled upon Aki over a year ago while sifting through weeb music on Youtube, clicking related moonrune videos at random. That eventually led me to some of her cover songs and her voice stuck with me. I knew nothing of Hololive at the time, but that also led me to Choco since both of them had a lot of ASMR back then. However both of them seemingly disappeared from my Youtube recommendations (the demonetization I guess) and they faded from my memory.

Thanks to those posting vtuber threads on other boards during the Kung Flu, I find Hololive and immediately recognize Aki's voice. I've lurked these threads for about two months while binging on Holos, also learning of Aki's technical issues early on, medical off-time at one point, and demonetization with Youtube effectively hard-braking Aki and Choco's momentum while forcing them to remove many earlier videos. They were both victims of circumstance.

Both Aki and Choco have sweet voices, and Aki is an amazing singer. I was drawn to them because of that sweetness over the much more hyper girls.
I only just stopped lurking a week or so ago, made the Nyoooom gifs (which others have started reposting), and started posting every now and then in favor of Aki. Either it was a coincidence that other Akifags started posting a lot in recent days, or I inadvertently contributed to the influence of more Aki posting.

It's not pity, not some underdog/contrarian motivation, it's because these threads and the viral threads on other boards basically allowed me to reunite with a lost love. I want more people to enjoy Aki and Chocosaurus.

A very late start following her debut due to internet troubles and a medical issue which left her inactive for months. Aki basically started after Gen2 was already around and had zero momentum, also leading to a bout of depression which took her a while to get over and focus on simply having fun. She is unironically amazing but has been a victim of circumstance.
