The story of Kazuho's hinamizawa syndrome alt is her randomly stuck in a death loop. Even though it has nothing to do with Mei's plot, where usually dying = dying, they need to leave the fragments alive.

It makes me think we'll get a Witch Eyes Kazuho alt later on, since that's the only point of randomly making Kazuho a Rika-style looper in a side-story, and maybe an actual Witch Kazuho too if Sotsu actually gives Rika and Satoko full on witch forms by the end.
