In the past 90% of junior high schools and 30% of public high schools adopted sailor fuku. Many high schools at that time had navy blue suits. I think about half junior high schools and 80% high schools changed the uniforms to blazers now. There are 15 public high schools in the school district where I live, but only three schools still have old style uniforms. Both of the top 2 hensachi high schools in the school district have old-style uniforms. It seems to be a national trend that high hensachi high schools keep old-style uniforms.
