Before asking what's going on with /jp/ please read:
There's been an implicit change in the rules, it's confirmed to be backed by moderation since initial threads complaining about the sudden flood were either getting deleted or moved to /qa/. As for the reason for such change right now, nobody has made any clear announcement.
A known attentionwhoring meido made a post on global saying the results have been "interesting" and that they're aware this change isn't being received well, mentioning that it's only going to be temporary and "please please please be patient". No more info has been confirmed so far.

You post this every thread, yet it fails. You try so hard, but the fact is that this thread doesn't care.
You know why?
They ENJOY it. Nothing is better than replying to bait, because even if it's wrong, it generates controversy, it sparks discussion, it allows to talk about topics that wouldn't be discussed otherwise.
Metaposts, ritualposts, all are staple of a thread, but do they contribute anything to the thread? Nope, nothing at all.
