Badly written romance CYOA stories with harem elements are unfortunately the most common type. They are produced even more than generic japanese harem fiction, and that's saying something.

I just want a genuinely fun and engaging adventure story where all that shit is excluded. But then it's better to just read books or the very, very rare good fanfictions where other people can't fuck the story up.
