I decided this is worth an actual answer since it must be confusing for new posters. This thread used to be ridiculously fast. When EN was announced people thought it would flop and get drowned out by JP posts. So around debut people made a thread to focus on non-JP holos. Enter global. Then EN was a hit and global became more active than the fastest boards on the site. So the thread stayed so that JP wouldn't be completely drowned out. Now we have neither problem.

As to why global still exists, the staff had to make some difficult decisions about how to handle Hololive at its peak on /jp/. They decided to be vague so they weren't held back by strict guidelines and could get away with arbitrary moderation. So now we get to have "Hololive" and "Hololive Global" and no other iteration, just because. There is literally no functional reason as to why global exists, except maybe some shadow of the original purpose of protecting EN/ID posts from getting drowned out by more active JP posting. As to why global might have a thread to themselves while JP can't, it's literally just because the janitors and mods don't like you. They're very antagonistic toward their userbase, as evidenced by IRC leaks over the years. Next question.

Ignoring for a moment how much the holos love Coco, i think another reason why so many are breaking down is because they know anyone could have been in her place.
Many of them said the T word before, it's a roulette and anyone could be next, you can't predict schizos targetting you for random shit.
