What's she gonna teach me, a bit of Kendo? From my previous classes, my first one was only about learning the footwork for moving forwards and backwards, practicing how to behave properly in the dojo, and how to handle your bokken in a training session. And this isn't counting the stretching and warm-up exercises you're supposed to do before you start.

Basically, you'll learn the basis for learning other things on your first class, but that's essentially paramount to nothing if you can't follow it through. I'm not a clever enough fellow to devise a plan and get closer to the gardener like that, and certainly in not a single day.

If it was, say, a week or a month, where you could actually learn something useful, I'd take the lessons by day, and try to practice as much as I could by night in an effort to try and impress her legitimately. That would be my best shot at even at least catching her attention.
