This isn't exhaustive as I'm sure there are many other reasons but here are three significant concepts I've identified for why someone might enjoy mature women based on pop psychology and anecdotal evidence. Some might exhibit a combination of these reasons whereas others might just be fixated on one. Some might not really exhibit any of these and that's okay: I welcome any and all discussion and criticism of these ideas. I aim to approach this from the angle of articulating the appeal of mature women but not necessarily to persuade you or to change your mind. On the flip side, this subversion can even be seen in JAV where the older woman in question is no longer conventionally attractive. The excitement and taboo of watching such material likely stems from the expectation that a woman of such an advanced age no longer participates in passionate sex or experience any sexual desire at all. In less extreme cases, viewers may simply be looking for less glamorous portrayals of sex with an older woman rather than actively searching for women who are old to the point of novelty. There may also be less use of make-up and an emphasis on realism and candidness which may be desirable for other reasons not specific to the enjoyment of mature women.
