>What is she like?
She appears as the principal 'minor deity' of a mamano temple about a day's travel on foot from a Zipangu town, and strikes a figure quite suitable to such a position. She is almost 6'4" and possesses a full set of 9 voluminous tails. Her magickal nature is unusually firey, though under most conditions she maintains well the self-control and composure Inari are known for. Picrelated was chosen as a representation of her appearance- not how she deploys her magickal prowess (at least, not in any histories I've been able to dig up.) I met her briefly after moving into town- then learning from the townsfolk she had requested my presence. She proclaimed her intention to court me, and treated me most hospitably as a guest at her shrine. We shared evenings and dinners, though never once did she make an untoward move on me, as I might have expected hearing stories of other mamano.
Her 'attendants' are a mob of young-looking kitsune whose coats come in every colour I've ever heard of a fox bearing. They appear as young ladies, none taller than about 5'5", of modest 'proportions.' My initial impression was that they were incredibly dutiful and respectful things, clearly taking their 'Goddess' as rolemodels of ladyhood- but this soon began to fall apart. Any time I was out of sight of visitors, or another fox, they began to flirt. At first it was just the faintest whiff of innuendo, leaving me wondering if I was misinterpreting some foxy cultural quirk, but soon enough their intention to 'get in on the Mistress's action' became shockingly clear. The Lady herself brushed it all off when I brought it up to her, she didn't believe her 'wonderfully honourable maidens' would do such a thing.
It went from individual propositions to hook up, to pairs offering threesomes, to more, as increasingly large mobs of fox flesh began to press on my time not spent in the Lady's presence.
They did not seem as overtly magickal as their idol, but as this went on I became quite sure they were using some lesser sort of charm en-mass. At least, that's what I told myself when I gave in, one night. I lost track of how many of them I took up on their 'offers' and then set aside for another; my 'appetite' for pliable fox flesh seemed inexhaustible.
Then SHE showed up, wearing nothing but her own flames. I was snapped out of my trance in an instant, and I thought for sure I was going to die as the 'maidens' held me against my attempts to escape. Of course, you can probably imagine what happened next, and it was no ritual human sacrifice. I was officially 'married' in a public ceremony just 3 nights later- and she never made mention of my 'liason' with her attendants, and still hasn't. At least, so long as I don't spend so much time and energy on them that she has to 'take her share herself.'
Yes, this me is dense and doesn't understand his wives' full nature. She thinks it's cute and enjoys confusing him about the whole thing.
