More like Rika was trying to sell her character and throw the rest of the group under the bus for profit (with agency's tacit consent). You can tell from how she was rewriting facts in her favor while there.

In that Hama-chan episode she told how when she was selected for Seishun Dokei center every member fell silent when they went back to the backstage, obviously presenting it as the other members disliking and ostracizing her, and the geinin in the same show going "kowaaai" at it to further tress the fact.

In this interview from back in the 1st single she instead said that the members were crying for her after the announcement once in the backstage.

Contraddiction is a hallmark of being a liar.
