What tech do they use for their avatars? Live2D for the avatars themselves, obviously, but what about face tracking. The Hololive EN auditions mentioned something about renting iPhones, so I imagine they have an in-house app for that, like Nijisanji. Using phones with vertical stands would explain why tracking fails when they lean to much. But then how do they make the avatar appear on their computer? Do they send those through the Internet? Would explain the delays. Or do they just mirror the phone screen? Maybe it acts like a virtual web cam? I'm curious how much of it could be replicated on a poorfag's streamer setup.

Also, open-source Live2D clone fukken when?
