Some interesting stuff on "Current De Ryua" is that Meivia clarifies that they don't see the human way as wrong but rather that it is flawed if the society is "only humans" and they see monsters as being able to reign in the flaws and weaknesses of humans.

Also, this might be the most direct evidence yet that monsters indeed do have a "sense" for the man they are supposed to be with, hence how there can be no unhappy couples even though they often start with the monster forcing herself on the man.

Meivia's "benefactor" though, could that be the extremist kraken we will learn about later?

Also, figures monsters would add magic to pole dancing. ;)

It sounds like men on this island don't get jumped by monsters unless they ask for it, so you'd be pretty safe. Provided that is you don't try to leave without choosing a monster. You do that and all bets are off.
