I have no clue how lights work nor how to add actual shading like those on artworks done by the artists, I only do shading on images that already have shading on them like the previous Okuu edit or images that have dots or lines that tell me where to shade like in these:

Several of Utsuho's nonspells are even more trivial than that, I think Utsuho is just supposed to be really powerful regarding raw output but kind of dumb.
Also practicing EoSD Stage 6 Hard is slowly driving me insane and I hate Eternal Meek so much for keeping me from practicing. I really wish EoSD had a Boss Rush patch like SA and UFO, I'm already not using bombs for these practices so it would just cut the fat.

I just realized I didn't actually answer your question.

It just takes me a long time to actually get a run worth not resetting when I practice. I'm a perfectionist and if I die before beating the midboss or severely fuck up my Cherry flow (I want to have a specific amount when the midboss fight starts because I incorporate it into my route for the second stage, which I'm guaranteed to have as long as I don't break the one border from before the fight and don't start it too soon). Like I said, I'm terrible at reading safe spots, which means I die a lot to Ran's nonspell and to Heavenly Possession (though my clear percentage on the latter has been going higher and higher the more I play, since the card is seemingly static). I have a habit of going for more than just the bare minimum survival strategy in the first half of the stage since I play it so often, which means I sometimes graze too recklessly and die really early into the stage.

Whenever I beat Ran, provided I don't quickly fuck up in the immediate session while grabbing the point cards, I just about always make it to Yukari without death and usually with two or less bombs used. I can't actually remember the last time I died to the PC-98 bullets at the end of the stage.


So overall, while Yukari herself is the main source of difficulty, I have a habit of making dumb mistakes in the stage portion that don't appear in any of the replays I post because I reset any time I make one of said mistakes.

I just can't control myself, I have to do things to boost my score even when boosting my score offers nothing for survival and even though my score will never, ever come close to something worth bragging about. It just feels wrong not to go for those relatively easy point boosts when I'm not near the end of a run and already almost having a heart attack from the adrenaline of a potential 1cc; it feels like I'm playing too casually when I don't.

That's stupid. Even within the realm of my own stupid superstitions, you can't just change the rules of a superstition and expect it to immediately take place. If the superstition is true, then it has hard rules, and if it's fake, then you've just gone from one fake thing to another while the real reason of me being unable to get this second 1cc is being a scrub with a lack of talent.

I can't even get past Stage 2 now because I keep fucking up the UFO routing. This is how 98% of my UFO attempts go, and the other 2% is when I stop being a spaz and manage to grab all the rainbow UFOs before they change color without running into an easily-dodgeable bullet, and avoiding BARELY failing to kill a UFO before the boss shows up and nullifies it, and avoiding accidentally going above the PoC line when I'm reaching for that tiny timeframe when I can grab a UFO before enemy bullets obscure it and subsequently not having enough points to get the extra life piece (I don't go for bomb pieces often in UFO, I know it's overall more resources if you play optimally but I die with bombs left far too often to make use of it).

I do like the UFO system in a Stockholm Syndrome type of affection, but it's the cause of me throwing away the vast majority of my runs. I'm thankful Nazrin doesn't have a midboss spellcard on Stage 1, just so there isn't a huge gap of attempts between said hypothetical midboss card and her first boss card.
