It's actually a big brain toku reference you would not understand if you don't have a dozen of Sentais under your belt at the very least. HoloEN perfectly fit the second most common Sentai color scheme (red, blue, yellow, black, pink).

Kiara is THAT Sentai member. She's the one that gets the least focus episodes. THAT Sentai member is also completely capable of having some of the greatest bangers in a 50 episode series. Just look at KirinRanger, whose focus episodes are an absolute joy to watch by virtue of fighting style alone.
