It isn't, it appears that way on first glance because of the crinkles below but the orientation of the edges above the face indicate that the crinkle turns forward right at the face, and then turns away.
I do retract the black hoodie comments- I think that black is where the crinkles below the face orient away, and diffuse the keycap colors.

So basically I'm only confident about the face, hand, and phone.
