To me, she seems like a person that sort of lacks motivation to do much. Not in the sense of being dead lazy, but more like she doesn't really take initiative in doing anything, but will do the job if pushed to do so.

It would be a problem if all youkai suddenly decided to kill humans, but it's apparently pretty peaceful. I mean, look at the oni, some of the strongest in Gensokyo. Oni were too strong for humans, and humans didn't like that, with the whole abducting and all, so they retaliated. Oni didn't like how things were going so they just packed up and left. What kind of courtesy is that?
