>Shortly after arriving at the temporary dock near the ship, the commander walked out.
>"I'm done with questioning her for now. If you have anything you want to share about her that you feel is important, let me know, but don't waste my time with ungrounded ideas or any useless details about her. Also, your new assignment is to guard her and try to interrogate her. Do what you need to get some info out of her. If you ask my permission I may allow you to take her out, but with proper restraints and restrictions, of course."

>As she walked off the dock onto dry land, a guy raised is hand up and spoke to me in a deep but lax voice.
>"I'm your guy. As long as you don't do anything that will fuck us over I don't care what you do. Don't think commander will, either."
>I quickly walked in and made my way to the brig.
>There, I managed to find her.
>"Hey!" I greeted to her.
>It appears that they've kept her mostly unbound save for a shackle attached to the floor and around her ankle.
>She popped up, making a ringing noise.
>She still has that bell collar on for some reason.
>"Hey, Anon!"
>The fact that she heard my name reminded me that I don't even know hers.
>"I should've probably introduced myself a while ago. I am indeed Anon."
>"To be fair, I didn't introduce myself, either. My name is Xochitl, similar to the name of the goddess Xochiquetzal."

>"The goddess's name means 'precious feather flower'. You can call me Xochi, or "Flower" if you wish."
>She's getting real friendly with me.
>"Thank you, Xochi. Uh, about that bell."
>"Oh? I guess you want it back now." She reached her neck to undo the collar.
>"If you like it, you can keep it. That bell has given me comfort over many years of my life. You're going to need it more than I am. Besides, it looks good on you."
>"Thank you. Your boss said that as well."
>"What did she do to you?"
>"She asked me about who I am, my tribe, what we do, and what we're planning to do next. She also asked me about what I think and know of you. She seems to agree with me when I said that you were a reasonable guy, but she also thinks you're too optimistic, especially when it comes to your skills and thinking."

>When I leave, I should try to find out what the troops are going to do. I don't want anything dumb happening.
>Also maybe finding out about any raids.
>"Are there any raids that are going to happen?"
>"Not for at least a few days." She assured me.
>"That's good."
>She couldn't really stand 100% up in this ship. She's slighly taller than I am and the ceilings are lower on this level of the ship.

>Her flirtatious tone sounds like she would be interested in helping me.
