lol really splitting hairs there. Venture outside of /jp/ or even 4chan in general some time and you'll remember how internet slang and language evolve beyond their original meanings, especially with a contextual one-word response that now has an incredibly broad use.
Look no further for an example than how the word meme evolved, as well as its usage. It's so far and away from it's early 2000s original meaning and has evolved to have slightly different uses and meanings, depending on the circle using it. i.e. 4chan "memes" compared to FB, Twitter, or Reddit "memes." i.e. a single phrase or image compared to slapping some Impact font on a picture and saying its now a meme
