Based on sales in Japan, AKB is much more popular than 少女時代, there is no dispute there. But to make stupid statements like AKB is more popular or even close to the popularity of 少女時代 in other Asian countries is just stupidity.

Especially when AKB48 doesnt step outside of Japan to do anything and when 少女時代 actively sellout concerts/promotes in Taiwan, Singapore, Hong Kong, Thailand, etc
