wtf does that even mean? My interpretations:
>she's holding herself back
>she doesn't want to open up (chorus talks about putting a lid on something) and potentially leave herself vulnerable
>she's glorifying the notion of the "tortured artist": artists afflicted with despair polish the brightest diamonds
I'm just kinda spitballing here though.
