I blame that change of attitude on the newfags who replaced the oldfags who never actually interacted with the setting beyond reading wiki articles and listening to faggots reading wiki articles it's also pretty bad with the tabletop games too since a fuck load of people got into it with 8th edition and have no idea of it's 2000AD rip off roots and wind up taking it super seriously. What doesn't help is that these newfags don't really know anything about sci fi or a lot of fiction in general so they get this idea that 40k is the most epic thing ever and start sperging out as a result when this impression is threatened in any way which I would argue is one of the things that leads to 40kfags having to force bloodshed into everything to prove that their space dollies are the most epic thing ever.
I feel like this has really affected /tg/ itself too since it's been flooded with /v/niggers population replacing the oldfags making the place unrecognizable from what it once was but I should probably cut myself off before I start really bitching about the state of my former home board which is very offtopic.
